Sunken patio leveling drain away from the house again

When a patio settles toward the house, every rain sends water at the foundation. Leveling the slab restores the slope so water runs away.

Sound familiar?

Signs your patio has settled

  • Water pooling against the house
  • A gap between the patio and the foundation
  • The patio tilting toward the back door
  • Cracks where one part dropped

Restore the slope

The aim is a patio that falls gently away from the house. Where the slab is whole, lifting the low side and filling the void beneath it gets the slope back.

Seal the gap at the house

Once the patio is back in place, the joint between the slab and the house should be sealed so water cannot run down beside the foundation.
