What a flatwork contractor does

Flatwork is concrete that lies flat on the ground: driveways, slabs, sidewalks, walkways and patios. It looks simple, but most of the work that decides how long it lasts happens before the concrete truck shows up.

That means grading the ground so water runs away from the house, building a compacted base, setting forms to the right height and slope, and placing steel where the slab needs it. Then the pour, the finish and the control joints that keep cracks where they belong.

New concrete and existing concrete

Our work covers both sides of the job. We install new driveways, including replacements and gravel-to-concrete conversions, and we take care of the concrete you already have with driveway repairs, concrete repairs, leveling and resurfacing.

Because we do both, we can give you a straight answer about which one makes sense. Sometimes a repair buys years of use. Sometimes replacing a section, or the whole slab, is the better value.
