Concrete driveway building · Tyler

Concrete driveways built to carry the load

A concrete driveway takes more abuse than any other slab on your property. We build driveways with the thickness, base, reinforcement and drainage they need to handle daily traffic on East Texas ground.

A new concrete driveway makes sense if

Your driveway is holding you back

  • Gravel keeps washing out, rutting or tracking into the house
  • Your old driveway is cracked across most of its panels
  • You need more room for another vehicle or a turnaround
  • Water pools on the drive or runs toward the garage
  • You are building and need a driveway to the new garage or shop
  • You want the curb appeal a clean concrete drive gives a home

What goes into a driveway that lasts

Most driveway failures start underneath. Before we pour, the ground is graded and compacted and a base is built up so the slab has even support. Soft spots are dealt with, not covered over.

  • Thickness matched to what will drive on it. Cars need less than trucks, trailers or an RV.
  • Reinforcement in the slab to hold it together if the ground moves.
  • Slope so rain runs off the drive and away from the garage and foundation.
  • Control joints cut at the right spacing and depth so cracks follow the lines.
  • A broom finish for grip when the drive is wet.

Designed around how you use it

Before we quote, we talk about what will be parked and driven on the driveway, where the vehicles turn, and whether you need extra width, a parking pad or a wider apron at the street. Planning that up front costs far less than adding it later. How thick should a driveway be?

New driveway or a better one

Building a concrete driveway can mean a brand-new drive to a new home or shop, replacing a failed driveway, or converting gravel to concrete. Our driveway installation page walks through how each of those jobs runs from start to finish.

Questions we hear

Frequently asked

How long before I can drive on my new driveway?

Foot traffic usually comes first, then cars after several days, with heavier vehicles waiting longer. We will tell you the timing for your pour and the weather it was poured in. Read more.

Is concrete better than asphalt for a driveway?

Concrete is rigid and long-lived and stays cooler in the Texas sun. Asphalt is flexible and needs resealing. Compare them here.

What affects the cost of a concrete driveway?

Size, thickness, tear-out of an old drive, ground prep, access for the truck and the reinforcement needed. See the full list.
