Driveway replacement start over on solid ground

When a driveway is broken across most of its panels, repairs stop being worth it. Replacement removes the old concrete, fixes what caused it to fail, and gives you a new drive.

Sound familiar?

Replacement is usually right when

  • Most panels are cracked or broken
  • Several sections have heaved or sunk
  • The base has washed out under the slab
  • Past repairs keep failing

Tear-out and haul-off

The old driveway is broken up and removed. This is also the chance to see what was underneath and why it failed.

Fixing the cause

If the old slab sat on soft soil, thin base or a spot where water collected, the new one will fail the same way unless that changes. We rebuild the base and correct the slope before forming.

The new driveway

From there it is a full installation: forms, reinforcement, pour, broom finish and control joints. You can also change the layout, widen the drive or add a parking pad while the work is underway.
