Driveway section replacement fix the bad panels, keep the rest

Often only a few panels of a driveway have failed, at the apron, by a downspout or over a soft spot. Cutting out those sections and pouring new ones keeps the good concrete in service.

Sound familiar?

Good candidates

  • One or two panels badly broken
  • A failed apron at the street or garage
  • A section damaged by a tree root or heavy load
  • The rest of the drive is in good shape

Clean cuts at the joints

The damaged section is saw-cut along joint lines where possible, broken out and removed. That keeps the repair looking like a regular panel instead of a patch.

Fix the base, then pour

The ground under a failed section is usually part of the reason it failed. We rebuild and compact the base, tie the new concrete to the surrounding slab where it should be tied, and pour and finish to match the slope.
