Whitehouse sits just southeast of Tyler in Smith County and had 8,257 residents at the 2020 census. It is home to Whitehouse ISD. Driveway approaches and sidewalks inside city limits fall under the City of Whitehouse, so we check what applies before work at the street.

Each entry below is one job: what the owner asked for, what we found on site and what we poured. Every service we offer is described on our Tyler concrete contractor page.

Curved driveway in front of a brick home

Whitehouse, TX

  1. The job

The homeowners wanted a curved driveway that swept up to the house instead of a straight run.

  2. What we found

The curve put the turning tires right at the slab edges, which is where driveways usually break first.

  3. What we did

We formed the curve with flexible forms, set a full rebar grid with extra steel at the edges, and poured and broom finished it with joints following the curve.

Worth knowing. Curves look best when the joints follow them. Straight cuts across a curve read as mistakes.

Back patio with rounded corners

Whitehouse, TX

  1. The job

A family wanted a large back patio with soft, rounded corners beside their fenced yard.

  2. What we found

The yard sloped back toward the house, so a patio poured flat would have sent rain at the foundation.

  3. What we did

We regraded so the patio fell away from the house, set forms with radius corners, laid rebar and poured a broom-finished patio.
