The job
The owner cleared a lot for a new building and needed a large, level slab.
What we found
The pad needed compacted fill and a gravel base to come up level across the whole footprint.
What we did
We compacted the pad, laid a gravel base, set a full rebar grid and poured and finished the slab.

One part of a driveway had broken up while the rest was still in good shape.
What we found
The broken section sat where water from the yard ran under the slab and washed out the base.
What we did
We saw-cut the damaged section out, rebuilt the base, doweled into the existing concrete and poured the new section to match.

Worth knowing. A straight saw cut and dowels into the old slab are what keep a replaced section level with the rest.
